5 Things You Should Be Grateful For

Hello lovelies!!!

It’s been a minute!

It’s mid-week already and I’m sure our week has been going well and yes, the year is almost ended and there is a whole lot to be grateful for.

In life, many people skip some things or don’t see them as things that we need to thank God for instead we complain about things we don’t have or disappointments here and there.

Well, I’ll be telling you 5 things I’m grateful for, I hope you are grateful for them too.

  1. Life:

People may say “isn’t it just to sleep and wake up?”.

Well it actually is but when a person sleeps and never wakes up, you’ll fully understand that life is a gift. When a person wakes up one morning and doesn’t make it till the end of the day, then you’ll appreciate this gift called life.

2. Family and friends:

They are the most amazing and of course most annoying people on earth. No matter the level of indifferences we face and new behaviours we find, we would always be family. Trust me, love has a way of quenching all wrongs.

Let’s appreciate our families and forgive wrongs, it goes a long way!.

They are the best and they usually want the best for us!

So, these are the people you relate closely with that are not directly family, some later turn family though. They are the ones you can crack your dry jokes to over and over again and they just would listen to you chattering the same or different thing all over again.

Be grateful for friends. Show your friends some love today!.

Value your friends…they sometimes make sacrifices for us that we may know nothing about.

3. Salvation:

Without salvation, there would have been no point passing through life.

Salvation is the reason why we can say we have seen the light because Jesus is the light and He has set us free.

Be grateful for salvation for it was His grace that has saved us, not like we were worthy or are still worthy.

“dying, he destroyed our death,

Rising, he restored our life,

Lord Jesus, come in Glory!”

4. Psychology and acting:

I’m grateful that I officially became a psychologist and that that dramatic self is still there.

Be grateful about your career whether you are a lawyer, teacher, musician, doctor, pilot, full house wife, full-working house wife, blogger, actress etc for everything you have comes from God!.

I’ll leave you with this today

Matthew 6:33

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Philippians 4:8-9

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.

  1. This is certainly a time of year when we focus on gratitude. I do find things to be grateful as often as possible. My kids creep into my bed at night and sometimes I feel like it’s annoying but when they cuddle close I remember that the day will come when it will end and I am grateful for all the cuddles!!

  2. So much to be grateful for. I have a job, I have a house, I have a close family, I have running water and electricity in my house, I have a computer that can connect me to the entire world, I have a bed and for when I don’t need that I have easy access to coffee. I feel safe in my day to day life, I wasn’t born in a war zone. Clothes to keep me warm, i could go on, but my coffee is getting cold!

  3. I loved this article! I, too, have so many things to be grateful for!! My parents are healthy and alive, I have found true love, I have an amazing dog, I am sane and healthy, I have a house and a few savings, I have few but true friends and I am lucky enough to do exactly what I love. Thanks for reminding me all this!

  4. We sg=hould be more mindful and practice gratefulness more often indeed! Life friends and family are not to be take for granted! Thank you for the reminder!

  5. I’m grateful for my:
1 – Daughter – she’s twenty but has been a no problem child all her life
2 – Life – it’s pretty good life if you ask me
3 – Job – work had a year and is considered full time.
4 – Ability to take vacations when needed
    5 – Parents – mine and my husband’s

  6. I was just telling someone that gratitude is the one thing that has helped me pull through bad life experiences. The value of gratitude cannot be stressed too much.

  7. Thanks for sharing this post! I love your #1! Here are my 5 things that I am most thankful for!

    1. Thankful that every day is day one.
    2. Thankful that every day I get a choice
    3. Thankful that I have the ability to control my mind and attitude
    4. Thankful for books
    5. Thankful that I am human and I get a chance to live life to the fullest

  8. Only people who are grateful, can be truly happy! Its not about the money, Its about being grateful for what you have! You can live in some village and be happy more than some rich guy living in a NY! And there are so many things to be grateful for: life, family, love, food, water, friends, health etc.

  9. I am grateful for my family, my ability to travel, the current lack of humidity now that the weather is cooler, my job, and the fact that Christmas is coming very soon. Great post, thank you helping people to stop and think about these things.

  10. I agree with what you listed here. Also for my personal take, no matter the circumstance that we are in, we should always focus on the blessings that we have and have a grateful heart.

  11. I love gratitude posts. I often think abot how other people def have things worse off, and the n i kind of shunt my pain away or talk myself out of feeling what im feeling, and that’s not healthy either. lately i hav had to remind myself that just because someone was in the holocaust in 1945 and lost everything (just an example) doesn’t mean that i shouldn’t be allowed to feel my feelings about something going on in my life. Like, just because I have food and a house when others don’t doesn’t mean that I have no right to feel loss or heartbreak or anger. I think i kept trying to give some sort of humility to perspective and i wound up kind of hurting more.
