One Year Blog Anniversary!

Hi guys!!!

Welcome to the anniversary edition of the blog!!!

It’s been one full year already!!!

I’m extremely grateful to God, family, friends and you, my blog readers and beautiful community that supported me through this past year!!!

My dear blog readers, you are the reason why Roses of Life turned ONE today. Without you, I would have dropped out since. Thanks for all the views, shares, likes and comments.

You are all amazing!.

I’ve been running this blog for a year and I must say that it has been an experience and not just an ordinary experience but a wonderful one. Starting this blog wasn’t so easy as I was reasonably new to the blogosphere but as time went by, while trying to make my site look better, I learnt how to design websites and…I know what you are thinking…yes, I designed this site myself. It took a lot of discipline, hard work and consistency but at the end, I did it.

Well, this isn’t my first blog…yes…I know you are probably shocked. There was one other before this. I actually kind of ran away from blogging but it sure has a way of drawing you back. When I thought everything (the former blog, it lasted only a few weeks) was a flop, Roses of Life showed up.

The site suddenly seemed friendly, inspiration came and everything (theme, blog name and tagline, content) changed.

That was how Roses of Life was born (out of inspiration)…cool, right!.

I wish I could just say that Roses of Life started running and everything was sweet and rosy but if I say that, it would be a lie.

“Blogging is a journey, not a destination, adjust and flow with the community.

Blogging is a process, don’t rush the process or you’ll tumble over and remain sad.

This also implies to your careers, businesses or whatever else you are doing. Don’t rush any process, go through the process. Walk yourself through the process and you’ll get results and not just results but good results”

Like other things you do in life, it had challenges too. There were down times and of course, pleasant times. They were hurdles that needed to be crossed. There were barriers that needed to be broken and people that needed to be reached, the workload of putting quality content together was there but God saw me through it all. At some point, I actually kind of quit (for 3 months, not a single post, I thought it was all over) but this wonderful support system we’ve got here brought me back and I just knew, “this is for me, carry on lady” and guess what?

The “come back” was stronger, my community went whoooooooooooooooooooo.

My support community (you, my blog readers) is the reason why this anniversary came through!!!.

Thank you so much guys!. I couldn’t have made it without you!

I love you!!!

My main message for you today is:

“Believe in yourself even nobody does and you’ll see good results!”

“A man is old when he stops learning, whether he is 20 or 80”

Just keep learning, it doesn’t kill. It only empowers you with knowledge!

“If you want a thing bad enough, never to tire of it and if you could lose your sleep and peace for it, WITH THE HELP OF GOD, YOU’LL GET IT”

By the way, as a blogger or entrepreneur or writer or vlogger, what has been your most pleasant moment?

Also, mention the most unpleasant and tell us how you pulled through that phase.

Thanks for sticking true!!!

Cheers till my next post!!!

I love you!!!

  1. I am so happy for you! Blogging is definitely not easy and takes a lot of hard work and patience. However, it is very rewarding and worth it. So much fun and lots of learning to be done. Also, meeting new and interesting people like you! I have enjoyed getting to know you and wish you another amazing blogging year!

  2. A win for me was getting interviewed and booking speaking engagements. A hard time was having to completely rebrand my blog. I got through it by consistently writing and having great blogger friends hold me accountable.

  3. Congratulations on your one year blogaversary!! Time flies doesn’t it? Hmm I remember the feeling of when I had my first year anniversary…’Wow already?” You are absolutely right about constantly learning. It’s a journey. What was your previous blog niche about? Just curious. Hmm my favorite moment in my blogging journey was the day I met a special fan of my blog Impurrfectlife. I wrote a post about it too. It was great to meet a live person that reads my blog and know that my posts helped to heal her heart after losing her pet. Knowing you touch people’s lives definitely makes all the blood sweat and tears worth it. I wish you continued success on your journey!

  4. Congratulations honey. Anyways, blogging could be a tad hard… I’m also struggling with one myself. I’ve learnt over time that if you love it as a passion, you’ll overlook the stress and see the good possibilities in it. Happy one year!

  5. Congratulations on your one year mark! I’m so happy you’re finding a love for blogging. I love your quote that blogging is a journey, not a destination. Thanks for all of the encouragement in this post! Best of luck to you as you continue to blog!

  6. Happy Anniversary! I’m only 2 months into this blogging journey. And I can definitely see why it’s a journey, not a destination. I’ve had a few moments when I felt like it will never work, I’ll never build a real audience. Last week I took a break as I’ve been traveling. Coming back, I realized how much I missed writing and how much I love it. And that that’s the real reason why I started blogging, not for the likes, follows or shares. I hope I don’t forget it again 🙂

  7. Happy Anniversary! I remember being so excited when my blog turned one! In fact, I launched my first book then, and so I will always have pleasant memories. All the very best for lots more years of fun times, new friends, and wealth too.

  8. Happy anniversary to you! As a newer blogger myself, I know it can be hard to stick to it! I took a few months off my first year too, and then came back with a vengeance after I figured out a way to make it work better in my life. I haven’t had any particular wins or failures though since then.

    Happy blogging!

  9. Congratulations on a year! That’s so great! And I agree about blogging being a process, I’ve definitely learned and evolved over the years since I started. One of my favorite things about blogging has been all the wonderful people I’ve met!

  10. happy anniversary to you! I am about six months in and I learn so much everyday. I love your attitude as I feel the same way – it is never too late to learn and do what you want to do!
